No Connectivity to a Network
From TraCS Florida
For efficiency reasons, the TraCS Florida system is designed to function over a network. However, the TraCS Florida team understands that some agencies do not currently have a network set up. While we do provide support to agencies without network connectivity, it is highly encouraged to set up a network before implementing the TraCS Florida system.
If officers can reach connectivity sometimes, but not always, officers can also shift forms over the network with the click of a few buttons. To do this, see our page on how to Shift Forms Between Users Over a Network.
Otherwise, thumb drives can be used. Shifting forms with thumb drives requires officers to enter the station and physically shift forms from their laptop to a designated workstation in the station.
Officers can use the TraCS Florida system standalone on their machine; however, please note that if anything happens to the laptop the completed forms may be lost. Therefore, we highly recommend shifting forms onto a central repository in the station.
