From TraCS Florida

TraCS Florida is funded through the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The forms are developed by the TraCS Florida Development Team at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and the Florida State University (FAMU-FSU) College of Engineering. TraCS Florida works closely with FDOT and HSMV to develop support applications and forms that meet the standards set by HSMV for form submittal.

TraCS provides a means of collecting data with better methods and tools, and is currently working with HSMV to implement an electronic data submission system to further improve the data collection process statewide.

TraCS Florida is currently working with Florida's Traffic Records Coordinating Committee (TRCC) to revise the current crash reports.
